EAI celebrates 40 years of video art in Times Square. Historic works of video art will be screened on the MTV 44 1/2 LED Screen (Broadway between 44th Street and 45th Streets NY, NY) on 13 April – 19 April, 2011 Noon-4pm and 6pm-11pm.

Fluxfest is a gathering of artists inspired by the Fluxus. The events listed below include recreation of event scores from the 60s and 70s as well as wholly new works by contemporary artists. All performances are free and open to the public.

12:10 p.m. Meeting at the Manhattan’s Whitehall Ferry Terminal.
12:30 p.m. Staten Island Ferry. Artists will perform “scores” in recognition of the 5th annual Avant Garde Festival that Fluxus artists produced on the JFK ferryboat in 1967. Artists in the 1967 event included-Alan Ginsberg, Yoko Ono, Nam June Paik, Christo.
