The Stuff That Dreams Are Made Of Too (2013) Installation view

Clearing in Bushwick, which also has a location in Brussels, has brought together a group show this Spring featuring well-known painters Jacob Kassay, Harold Ancart and Jamian Juliano Villani and some lesser known artists like Marina Pinksky and Neil Beloufa, among others.  In their latest installment of “The Stuff That Dreams Are Made of Too”, the gallery has set itself to the task of exhibiting painting alongside sculptural installations and photography that repeat, mirror and mimic one another throughout the space.  The end result is works that feel less autonomous, yet conceptually rigorous, evidencing a marked interest in the relationships created by curatorial design.  “The Stuff That Dreams Are Made of Too” is on view through June 22.
